Catherine Burnham, PA-C; Spine Team
Catherine graduated from East Carolina’s Physician Assistant program in 2000. She worked in Brevard, NC specializing in orthopaedic spine surgery before moving to Alabama. In Alabama, she continued to practice in spine surgery and emergency medicine at Huntsville Hospital. Catherine moved back to Raleigh and in 2014 she joined The Bone and Joint Surgery Clinic assisting spinal surgeon, Dr. Idler.

James M. Coll, Jr., MA, MMS, ATC, CSCS, PA-C; General Orthopaedics Team
Jamey is a graduate of Methodist University’s Physician Assistant Program where he earned his Masters of Medical Science degree.  Prior to PA school, Jamey worked for over 20 years in sports medicine as an athletic trainer, strength and conditioning specialist, and as a physician extender. Jamey received his first Master’s degree at the University of Connecticut (UCONN) while working full-time as a graduate assistant athletic trainer and part-time as an athletic trainer in the private industry. After graduating from UCONN, Jamey moved to North Carolina and worked for the Athletic Department at NC State University for 16 years. During Jamey’s tenure at NC State, his position and responsibilities progressed from being an assistant athletic trainer to Senior Associate Director of Sports Medicine/ Head Football Athletic Trainer. After leaving NC State, Jamey worked for the Department of Defense/ US Navy as a physician extender/ athletic trainer at the Sports Medicine and Reconditioning Team (SMART) Center at Camp Geiger/ New River Air Station in Jacksonville, NC. There he served Navy and Marine military personnel. Jamey was also given the responsibility to be the coordinator of the SMART Center’s Preventative Medicine Team. Educating units and commands on ways to prevent injuries during training.

Currently, Jamey works full-time at the Bone and Joint Surgery Clinic while working part-time for the National Hockey League (NHL).
